Professional History:
Born in Toronto, self-taught, and currently working out of her home studio in Oakville, Barb TenEycke has been a full time artist since 2013. Barb studied interior decorating and design at Sheridan College in the late 80’s. During her 20 plus years in the field of decorating and design, Barb developed an expertise in the area of decorative painting. Barb credits her decorative painting experience in allowing her to fast track her skills in the area of fine art painting. Similarly, her years of working with design and colour have helped to instill a general sense of composition, balance, and colour values, all coming into play in her work. Committed to improving her skills, Barb is passionate about maintaining honesty and authenticity in her artistic expression.
